TiAlN Coating
Multilayer titanium-aluminum-nitrogen PVD coating. Modern standard for dry machining and high Vc.
TiAlN forms an aluminum oxide layer in situ above 800°C, protecting the edge against oxidation. Allows for Vc 50–100% higher than TiN. Standard for the Hanna HR® system in P/M/K steels.
