Escariador
Traditional Brazilian term for reamer. Designates the tool for finishing holes to H6, H7, or H8 tolerance.
Escariador is a synonym for alargador. In old catalogs and parts of the Brazilian automotive industry, the term persists; in new projects, alargador is preferred, aligned with the English term reamer.

Finishing holes for housing pins, shafts, and bushings — where assembly requires clearance or interference on a micrometric scale.
